Take your office outfit to the next level by switching out your plain dress pants for a pencil skirt.
Equally as office appropriate, the pencil skirt adds more shape and depth to your outfit, and is perfectly on trend at the moment. Pencil skirts are great for many different body types, especially curvy, as they hug curves in a flattering shape. Add a pair of tights in the winter or wear a pencil skirt with bare legs in the summer time. You can find pencil skirts in all different fabrics, colors and patterns, so get out there and find one that works for you and your wardrobe to add a little something extra to your outfit next time you find yourself dressing in plain black dress pants too many days in a row. The one thing I would recommend not doing is wearing tall boots like riding boots with a pencil skirt. Because the skirts usually fall at or just above the knee, you want to show off the shape of your legs underneath and tall bulky riding boots don't look right with form fitting pencil skirts. Of course when I came up with this post idea I didn't realize that these outfits were shot with different blouses, however, I hope you can see by now that either blouse works well with both outfits. Check out the different pencil skirts I founds below, and don't forget that a well dressed pant can look great too, so try to mix up your outfits each week by choosing both.
