Sequins are the perfect way to jazz up an outfit around the holidays, but finding a way to wear sequins without looking like you are dressing like a preteen can be challenging.
My best advice is to start small and experiment with little touches here and there. You can find all sorts of clothing pieces made for women with sparkly sequin embellishments that aren't too over the top. Try looking for a festive sweater with sequin detail or a scarf with sequin trim. A touch of sequins on the shoulders of the little black dress I found below is a great way to try out the trend. For a super casual holiday party look, try an all over sequin shirt like my mom's and pair it with basic pieces like a black jacket or jeans. And if you want to be daring with sequin shoes or a sequin bag try to stay away from sequins in the rest of your outfit as one sequin piece is usually all you will need to up your sparkle for the holidays.
