You've seen my post with colorful cardigan options and my post with scarves galore, now here is a great way to finished off the outfit - from the bottom up.
If you, like my mom, get stuck in the mornings asking yourself the age-old question, "What am I going to wear to work today?", try starting from the bottom and working your way up. Find a great fitting grey skirt in a textured fabric like tweed to start with. It's the perfect basic piece for an easy to change up outfit. Once you have a grey tweed skirt you can mix and match colorful tops like sweaters, cardigans, or even printed blouses because grey goes with everything. Try out a tweed skirt this fall in a new shape or with a fun detail like a faux leather waistband. As always, although I am not sure I mention this enough, a lot of the options I post on this blog come in petite and plus sizes as well. Click on the links under the photos and search the websites for the same item in petite or plus size to find the best match for your body. For example, my mom is pretty short so she can wear petite sizes, however she tends to buy skirts in regular sizes because she likes the extra length.
